Banchory West Youth is for all young people in and around Banchory.
It is a safe, welcoming place to come as you are. During our groups we play games, worship together and we learn, discuss & grow more in our relationship with Jesus. Your questions are welcome here.
Our aim is to Make Contact, Make Friends and Make Disciples.
What do we do?
Risen Youth Home Group - we meet every Monday during term time (7:30pm - 9:15pm), normally in our church families homes. We cover different topics, looking at what the Bible has to say and how God can speak into our lives. We are currently working our way through the book of Romans. We encourage you to bring your questions and your doubts (and your bible!)!
Forged Youth - This groups meets on a Tuesday after school until 5pm, in the Centenary Hall. Why do we believe what we believe (or why don't we)? Why is the Bible the way it is? How do I pray? This group is a space to discuss and grow together in our understanding of doctine, church history and spiritual disciplines. This group is a relaxed space to grow in our understanding of the Christian faith so that if we have faith, it's built on a firm foundation.
Rock Youth - every Thursday during term time we meet in the sanctuary at church (7:15pm - 9pm) to play games, eat food, and to spend time learning about Jesus. If you love games and want to make new friends this is the place for you!
Foundations Youth - we always encourage our youth to join in at church on a Sunday. We run a group called Foundations Youth that meets during the service. We follow a two-year rolling curriculum that ensures we teach the whole Bible to our kids and youth.
Youth Retreat - once a year (usually in March) we go away for our youth retreat weekend. We eat too much, play loads of games, worship together and dig into God's word. This is a really special weekend for our youth and leaders alike.
Youth Alpha - we are excited to regularly run the youth alpha programme. Get in touch to find out when the next course takes place.
SU Group - we are delighted to be involved in the running of an SU lunchtime group in Banchory Academy. We currently meet on a Wednesday in room 22.
